Denis's Story

I was born in Albania and spent the first 5 years of my life in an orphanage. In 1999, I was adopted and moved to Minnesota, where I’ve lived ever since.

Fast forward to 2020: I started my own tech company, I Know Nothing Tech. Then, in 2021, something incredible happened — my birth brother found me. After my birth dad told him about me, he went to the orphanage, found my adoptive name, searched for me online, and discovered my business. He emailed me, and in August 2021, I traveled to Albania to meet my birth family for the first time.

Since reconnecting with my family, I’ve helped renovate my birth mother’s house, attended the wedding of the brother who found me, and welcomed my birth mother to Minnesota.

Now, I’m beginning another meaningful chapter: adopting my first child as a single dad in Minnesota. Life has come full circle, and I’m grateful for every step of the journey.
