Mirella Stoyanova
About
Mirella Stoyanova is an author, psychotherapist, recovering perfectionist, and international adoptee of Bulgarian and Iraqi origins, adopted from Bulgaria to the United States, who writes to free herself and others from confining narratives.
A former crisis worker and licensed clinical social worker, Mirella combines her global perspective with clinical training to bring nuance and clarity to conversations about who we are, what makes a life worth living, and what it takes to heal ourselves and our world.
With experience on both sides of the therapy room, Mirella uses storytelling in her writing and psychotherapy work to explore universal themes of trauma, loss, forgiveness, identity, and what we owe to each other.
Mirella lives in Seattle, Washington, with her husband and son.
