About

Ana Maria Varga is a psychology student, multilingual speaker, and advocate for Roma and LGBTQ+ communities. Born in Transylvania and adopted from a Romanian orphanage at a young age, she overcame the challenges of premature birth, malnutrition, institutional care, and systemic discrimination. As a proud Roma woman and lesbian, Ana draws on her lived experiences to raise awareness about the ongoing marginalization of Roma people, the unique experiences of adoptees, and the importance of belonging and self-acceptance. Through her studies, activism, and storytelling, she is committed to fostering understanding, equity, and connection for those whose voices are often unheard.
