Reflections Of 2020

The year 2020 has been described by many as unprecedented and personally I can only agree.

In a nut shell looking back at what had happened if you would have told me what would happen all this year, I would have not believed it one bit! Also I want to wish our founder and my good mate Alex Gilbert with his big upcoming journey soon over in Russia.

What describes what the year has been for me and many others, it’s been one massive roller coaster ride, without knowing what or how long the ride would be. There were many downs and ups.

Up’s; getting a job in Germany in the middle of a pandemic will be moving on the 5th of January 2021, during the lockdowns getting into the I’m Adopted live talks as a team and getting a viewership of 10 thousand in half a year and it being the 2nd anniversary of me giving my TEDx talk on the impact international adoptions had on me.

Downs; My contract at The Warehouse Group wasn’t extended, we all had to go into multiple lockdowns and international trips that had been planned had to be put on hold.

What the year has and is teaching me is that we all can have plans for the year but then unprecedented events can throw them all out of plan, and that we have to learn to adapt.

A quote that has come up often this year by Viktor E. Frankl:

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

Wishing you all the best for 2021 and let’s see what surprises the upcoming year has for us and excited to see what we will be able to accomplish as a team at I’m Adopted.
